One of Kenya’s most iconic safari lodges, built on stilts above floodlit waterholes in the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, next to Tsavo West National Park.

Salt Lick Safari Lodge is one of Kenya’s most iconic safari lodges, set in the 28,000-acre Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary next to Tsavo West National Park. Its famous stilted architecture rises above natural waterholes where elephants, buffaloes, zebras and antelopes gather throughout the day and night – it is often called one of the most photographed safari lodges in the world.
The 96 elevated rooms are linked by suspended walkways, so you can watch wildlife from your room and from the walkways without leaving the lodge. For a really close look, an underground hide lets you watch animals at eye level in complete safety. It is a memorable stop on our Tsavo safaris, and we are happy to add it to your trip.
