Tour Overview

This short private safari takes you from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds and for the swamps that draw wildlife all year round. On clear days the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro rises behind the animals.

With two nights in the park and game drives in your own vehicle, you have time to look for lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and buffaloes, as well as the elephants Amboseli is known for. Your guide plans each drive around the light and what you most want to see.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day1

Nairobi to Amboseli

Your driver-guide picks you up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport in the morning. Drive south-east along the Mombasa highway to Emali, then on to Amboseli National Park (about 4–5 hours). Check in at your camp for lunch, then head out on your first afternoon game drive with Mount Kilimanjaro as the backdrop.

Day2

Full Day in Amboseli

A full day exploring Amboseli’s plains and swamps, where elephant families come to drink and bathe. Climb Observation Hill for a view over the park, and look out for lions, cheetahs, hippos and buffaloes. In the evening you can add an optional visit to a Maasai village.

Day3

Amboseli to Nairobi

Set out on an early morning game drive, when Kilimanjaro is often at its clearest, then return to camp for breakfast. After check-out, drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

The safari with Daydream Safaris was truly perfect! From the planning and the choice of accommodations to the drives between the national parks, it was wonderful in every way.
Kennedy really thought of everything and put together a great package with Daydream Safaris.
Our guide, Jackson, was friendly, funny, and had eagle eyes—no animal escaped his notice. We got to see all kinds of animals, from elephants and rhinos to predators. And all up close!
For another trip to Kenya or another safari, I highly recommend Kennedy and especially Jackson, because they gave my friends and me an unforgettable trip! Thank you so much!

We had an amazing 10-day safari with Day Dream Safari. Our guide, Jackson, was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and always determined to find the best wildlife sightings while making sure we had a great time throughout the trip.

Three parks, one unforgettable journey. At Amboseli, herds of elephants strolled across the dust with Mount Kilimanjaro rising behind them, a scene so perfect I kept thinking someone had painted it. At Lake Nakuru, the shoreline blushed pink with flamingos, and we spotted rhinos grazing nearby. Then came the Masai Mara, where the plains seemed to go on forever and every drive felt like a nature documentary, with lions on the hunt, cheetahs on the prowl.

But what made this trip truly special was our guide- Mr Jackson, a truly living legend. He had a sharp eye for spotting animals, endless stories about the wildlife and the land, and a way of finding the perfect spot at the perfect moment. His patience, humour and passion turned good sightings into moments I'll be retelling for years. We never felt rushed, and we always felt very looked after.

Although the journey just flew by, and I came home with thousands of photos, dusty boots and a heart full of gratitude. Amazing doesn't cover it. If Kenya is on your list, don't wait. Go, and go with this team. I am already planning to rebook again soon.
