Tour Overview

This short fly-in safari is an easy way to add the Serengeti to a beach holiday on Zanzibar. Instead of a long road journey, you take a scheduled light-aircraft flight from Zanzibar to an airstrip in the park, and your driver-guide meets you on arrival.

The Serengeti is Tanzania’s best-known national park, with wide grass plains, granite kopjes and some of Africa’s highest numbers of lions, cheetahs and leopards. Depending on the time of year, you may also see part of the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras moving through the park.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day1

Fly from Zanzibar to the Serengeti

Transfer from your Zanzibar hotel to the airport for your scheduled light-aircraft flight to the Serengeti, usually with a short stop in Arusha. Your driver-guide meets you at the airstrip and you game drive on the way to your camp. After lunch and a rest, set out on an afternoon game drive until sunset.

Day2

Full Day in the Serengeti

A full day exploring the Serengeti’s plains and kopjes, with a picnic lunch in the bush so you can follow the wildlife wherever it moves. Look for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants and giraffes. Depending on the season, your guide may head towards the Great Migration herds. At dawn you can add an optional hot-air balloon flight.

Day3

Fly from the Serengeti to Zanzibar

After breakfast at camp, check out and game drive on the way to the airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar. On arrival you are transferred to your hotel.

The safari with Daydream Safaris was truly perfect! From the planning and the choice of accommodations to the drives between the national parks, it was wonderful in every way.
Kennedy really thought of everything and put together a great package with Daydream Safaris.
Our guide, Jackson, was friendly, funny, and had eagle eyes—no animal escaped his notice. We got to see all kinds of animals, from elephants and rhinos to predators. And all up close!
For another trip to Kenya or another safari, I highly recommend Kennedy and especially Jackson, because they gave my friends and me an unforgettable trip! Thank you so much!

We had an amazing 10-day safari with Day Dream Safari. Our guide, Jackson, was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and always determined to find the best wildlife sightings while making sure we had a great time throughout the trip.

Three parks, one unforgettable journey. At Amboseli, herds of elephants strolled across the dust with Mount Kilimanjaro rising behind them, a scene so perfect I kept thinking someone had painted it. At Lake Nakuru, the shoreline blushed pink with flamingos, and we spotted rhinos grazing nearby. Then came the Masai Mara, where the plains seemed to go on forever and every drive felt like a nature documentary, with lions on the hunt, cheetahs on the prowl.

But what made this trip truly special was our guide- Mr Jackson, a truly living legend. He had a sharp eye for spotting animals, endless stories about the wildlife and the land, and a way of finding the perfect spot at the perfect moment. His patience, humour and passion turned good sightings into moments I'll be retelling for years. We never felt rushed, and we always felt very looked after.

Although the journey just flew by, and I came home with thousands of photos, dusty boots and a heart full of gratitude. Amazing doesn't cover it. If Kenya is on your list, don't wait. Go, and go with this team. I am already planning to rebook again soon.
