Tour Overview

This safari combines Tanzania’s two best-known wildlife areas. You start with two nights in Serengeti National Park, with its wide grass plains, granite kopjes and some of Africa’s highest numbers of lions, cheetahs and leopards. Depending on the season, you may also see part of the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras.

On the way back you spend a night in the green Ngorongoro highlands, then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a huge volcanic caldera that is home to lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, flamingos and one of the best chances in Tanzania to see black rhino.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day1

Arusha to the Serengeti

Your driver-guide picks you up from your Arusha hotel in the morning. Drive west past Lake Manyara and up into the Ngorongoro highlands, stopping at the crater viewpoint, then down onto the Serengeti plains (a long day of about 7–8 hours with stops and a picnic lunch). Game drive on the way to your camp in the central Serengeti, arriving in time for dinner.

Day2

Full Day in the Serengeti

A full day exploring the Serengeti’s plains, river valleys and granite kopjes, with a picnic lunch in the bush so you can follow the wildlife wherever it moves. Look for lions resting on the rocks, cheetahs on the open grass, leopards in the trees along the Seronera River, and elephants and giraffes. Depending on the season, your guide may head towards the Great Migration herds. At dawn you can add an optional hot-air balloon flight.

Day3

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Start with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, then return to camp for breakfast. Game drive on the way out of the park and drive back up into the Ngorongoro highlands, with an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge, one of the world’s most important sites for early human fossils. Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim or in Karatu in the afternoon.

Day4

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive on the crater floor, looking for lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, flamingos and black rhino, with a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. In the afternoon, climb out of the crater and drive back to Arusha (about 3–4 hours). Drop-off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport.

The safari with Daydream Safaris was truly perfect! From the planning and the choice of accommodations to the drives between the national parks, it was wonderful in every way.
Kennedy really thought of everything and put together a great package with Daydream Safaris.
Our guide, Jackson, was friendly, funny, and had eagle eyes—no animal escaped his notice. We got to see all kinds of animals, from elephants and rhinos to predators. And all up close!
For another trip to Kenya or another safari, I highly recommend Kennedy and especially Jackson, because they gave my friends and me an unforgettable trip! Thank you so much!

We had an amazing 10-day safari with Day Dream Safari. Our guide, Jackson, was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and always determined to find the best wildlife sightings while making sure we had a great time throughout the trip.

The accommodations and food exceeded our expectations, and everything was well organized from start to finish. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Three parks, one unforgettable journey. At Amboseli, herds of elephants strolled across the dust with Mount Kilimanjaro rising behind them, a scene so perfect I kept thinking someone had painted it. At Lake Nakuru, the shoreline blushed pink with flamingos, and we spotted rhinos grazing nearby. Then came the Masai Mara, where the plains seemed to go on forever and every drive felt like a nature documentary, with lions on the hunt, cheetahs on the prowl.

But what made this trip truly special was our guide- Mr Jackson, a truly living legend. He had a sharp eye for spotting animals, endless stories about the wildlife and the land, and a way of finding the perfect spot at the perfect moment. His patience, humour and passion turned good sightings into moments I'll be retelling for years. We never felt rushed, and we always felt very looked after.

Although the journey just flew by, and I came home with thousands of photos, dusty boots and a heart full of gratitude. Amazing doesn't cover it. If Kenya is on your list, don't wait. Go, and go with this team. I am already planning to rebook again soon.
